Has anyone run the Rough Country 2.5" lift on a four door JK with the shock extensions. I am thinking of that lift. Financially I cant do the shocks yet. Just looking for any feedback

Yes. It's a good simple lift kit, easy to install. Rides like stock on the road, but shocks will bottom out when off road... So i installed the RC 2.2 shocks last week.
Here's a few pics. more pics in my gallery..

Flexed with shock extentions.

From what I've researched, wait till you can get the shocks. Or if you get the kit don't do much 4-wheeling until you get new shocks.

I hope to be in Moab in a few days giving my JK the first off road voyage with the RC 2.5BB with shock extensions....I didnt want to go for shocks just yet either....Hopefully it does ok, or something breaks to make me need new shocks.

I second this. Going slow helps, but you'll still hit a pot hole or small rock every once in a while. Then you'll here the loud "click" of the shocks slamming closed. I don't have experience with the shocks, but would imagine the bump stops will keep you from being so careful.

I just put my kit on last weekend and so far I'm loving it. I didn't get the shocks yet, mostly because I don't know which ones I want. I have done some mild offroading and so far so good. I did have to change the rear sway bar to get it back on. My rear axle shifted enough that I had to put the drivers side link on the inside of the swaybar instead of the outside like the factory has them. When I get my 34's and wheel spacers I should be able to put it back.

Thank You all for the replies. I think I might just wait and get the shocks too in a month or two. I am going to be offroading so I dont want any problems.

do the lift now and get the shocks after. I just put on the same lift and love it. I to will be getting shocks later but the looks I get now with it lifted are soooo worth it.

Changing shocks is real easy, you don't have to jack it up or even take off the wheels... took me an hour.
BTW, when ordering the lift, ask for Jason and tell him you're from jk-forum. he'll hook you up with 10% off

I like that thought. I guess I just would have to take it easy offroad till I get the shocks. Another question is do I want the rough country shocks or something else.
