Default rough ride skyjacker

Installed 2.5 skyjacker coil and shocks. Only thing I don't like is how rough the ride is. Anyone running the skyjacker shocks? I'm just trying to figure out if its the shocks or springs.. any thoughts?

unfortunately, it's probably a little bit of both. assuming you installed the basic hydro shocks, replacing them with a good set of nitro shocks like OME's or bilsteins will help out a lot. also, make sure that you're not running too much air in your tires. iwth 35's, you should be at about 30 psi. too much air will give you a harsh ride.

Thank WOL. I been checking out the 5100's. Guess ill pull the trigger on those and hope for the best. Everytime I take the Jeep in for a oil change the dummies crank my psi to 35. I bet they did it again, had load range e for a bit and they where back breakers at 35 lol

I bought mine with skyjacker springs and shocks so I can't speak for that, but I can say when I just bumped my 315s down from 35psito 30 it made a huge difference. Maybe I'll look into new shocks, but then again its a jeep not a Cadillac so whatever

When I bought my jeep it had the skyjacker 2.5" lift on it. I am still running it with the crappy shocks buy it does ride rough. My buddy has a terraflex lift and it is way smoother. I can't wait to get rid of the skyjacker lift and get terraflex. Terraflex also flexes way more. X2 on the tire pressure too!

Mine 2011 came from the dealer with 35's and the 2.5 Skyjacker lift. It was a very stiff ride. When the tires were at 30 or less it did help. I swapped mine out for a OME and much prefer the ride.
