with as many people having the same issue I don't think that taking it off and re-installing will fix it. it seems to me to be a slight flaw in the design. I am going to get the tire carrier to mask it a bit, getting 35s anyway, and move on. Tough for me since this completely goes against my normal attitude about things, but if RR does not ahve some way to address it, it will have to be

Default 2 questions

How hard was it to install the bumper?
Has anyone fixed the passenger side gap?

I have the bumper sitting in my basement... looking for some nice weather to do the install!

The bumper is easy to put on, the rear especially. the hardest part about the front is getting the stock off if you have the fogs and tow hooks. The installation of the fogs into the RR front bumper can be tedious, but keep a clean area around when you do it, thos washers and nuts are tiny!!

Default Sit on it

Had a problem with my RR XHD rear hitting a underside body seam over bumps. Loosened the bolts, had someone sit on the right rear corner and retightened the bolts. Cured the problem. May work for you.

OK, revivie the thread. I installed the tire carier last night and the un level problem is still causing an issue. The tire swing latch side is so much lower than the actual latch that I have to pull up on it significantly to even get it to latch. Very concearned about the stress on teh spindle. Hopefully RR has a solution

Default Me too

I had that issue also. Open tire carrier all the way 180 degrees from latch. Push down on carrier then try closing. Might want to start gently and to do it more than once with increasing pressure. Kinda scary but it works. Good luck.

Mine is already too low, wouldn't pushing down like that make it lower? I talked to RR and they are going to send me a new passenger side bracket for the bumper and a new spindle housing for the tire carrier. They thing it must be tweaked to be that low. They thought it was very odd that my carrier came pre-assembled. The spindle housing was already completed and the latches were already installed....
