Default Rubi/NonRubi D44 combo?

I'll try to make this as simple as I can:

Could a Rubicon D44 factory electric locker physically bolt into place in a NON-Rubicon rear D44 & work, except for the different spline count?

If so, could you use either the front or rear Rubicon D44 locker, assuming you were going to use custom axles? (actually I would be shortening a stock axle & resplining)

What I am trying to build is a narrow non Rubicon D44 rear (but with the e-locker) with 3.23 gears for a diesel powertrain.
