Default rubi and x flares on a sahara

Does anybody see any reason why the plain black flares from a rubi or x can't be installed on a sahara. I ask because I see some aftermarket 'replacement' flares indicating "will not fit sahara" in the add. Not sure why -- they look the same to me - could it be just because they are not painted? I have a line on some used flares that I want to trim and put on my sahara. Want to reserve the slick painted ones in the unlikely event I ever decide to sell her.

They work just fine, you'll find plenty of threads on this with a quick search. And there are quite a few threads on chopping the flares. And even some on aftermarket sources for the clips. (since you'll break some when you remove yours, and $8 each at the dealer is a bit pricey...)

Thanks guys. That is what I was hoping to hear. I am planning to chop them -- seen the threads.

Yeah, that's what I did... Sold off my Sahara fenders for more than I bought the Rubi's for, so I was paid to do this mod No issues with fitting them on, they are identical.
