Default Rubicon Express Drag Link

Does anyone have this and can comment on how you like or dislike it? Does it comes with grease able ends?

Also the stock drag link seems to have a bend at the end and this doesn't?

Hmm... it says it's used to fix the steering geometry on 4.5" lifts. How does a lift affect the drag link excluding adjusting the wheel and toe-in

Strength wise I'm sure it's beefy.

I'm curious about this question. In fact, I'm going to add a couple questions...

- How does an aftermarket drag link compare to the factory one.

- Are aftermarket drag links compatible with JK's that have no lift or only budget boosts?

Sorry, not trying to hijack but I too am curious about this product.

According to the description it says it can be used to replace the stock one, so I assume they mean no lift..

JK Chromoly draglink. May be used to replace your OE draglink in stock configuration or, used with the RE1675 track bar bracket in 4.5” lifts to achieve proper steering linkage geometry.
All I know is I got a Chromoly tie rod and the steering is much improved, so if this will work on a stock Jeep I would love to replace the drag link too.

It says a tapered reamer is needed though, so I am assuming the holes in the steering knuckles are not big enough and need to be drilled out a bit with the reamer?

this piece goes on top of the knuckle...it is RE version of teraflex's flip kit.

I think it can be installed either way, because it says this..

NOTE: When used with the RE1675 bracket and RE1680 track bar this draglink must be installed as an over the knuckle application.
Indicating that it can be used without those brackets as well. Guess I will call Rubicon Express

I actually have had one sitting here for like a month. I want to flip the drag link, but I also want to raise the track bar. Until I get a bracket make for the axle side of the track bar, it will continue to sit there. That is unless I bend my OEM one.

Does it have any instructions with it? That might tell me if it can be used in the stock location (not flipped)

Not sure if it's just me, but the picture looks more like a tie rod than a drag link.

Instructions say the taper is 1 1/2" per foot and the major diameter is 3/4". I can't tell from eyeballing it if it's the same as the OEM.

Well I just contacted them, they said they have never tried it on a stock application but it might work. It does have greaseable ends. I am so happy with my chromoly tie rod, that I am going to try this out. I think I can return it if it does not fit..based on Quadratec's return policy.
