Default Rubicon Express HD tie rod

Has anyone seen this issue before. The RE 2601 HD tire rod taper ends of the ball joint passes through the knuckle by about 1/8”. - 3/16” so the nut will not reach the knuckle to hold it tight. This is on both sides. At first I thought my knuckle was worn but both sides seem unlikely and the old tie rod fit tight. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

I don't have experience with the RE but it looks like some grade 8 washers are in order.

eh... I think I'd be sending that photo to whomever you purchased the tie rod from.

That’s what they are telling me you have to do with the RE and the JK.

Yeah I bought that one too and have the same thing going on. I just weld a few washers together and tightened the nut on them.

So this might sound dumb but when I ordered mine, I called them to make sure the install was straight forward and that I didn't need to ream the taper up to 1-ton. They told me the ends were 1-ton and I needed to ream up. My dumbass when I got it didn't test fit it first and reamed both knuckles up a bit. So the ends actually went through even more when I test fitted it. Eff. I just had to add more washers but, I was kind of pissed that RE didn't know their own product.
