RUBICON EXPRESS problems!! RESOLVED!!
I only advocate the dismissal of the thread after an official post by RE is made. That alone should serve as the problem/solution. Not up to me...just my opinion. I was looking for some personal responsibility from RE and I felt I got it. Keep in mind it's not "all about me" as I know the problem affected others as well. I am confident those people will also have their issues addressed if they decide to make them known.
Okay everyone, here is an official statement that was provided to me by Rubicon Express regarding this thread...
I would also like to note that it is my understanding that much of the “conversation” in this thread that was being quoted as coming from “Rubicon Express” was in fact information conveyed through a third party and not Rubicon Express themselves. And, I believe that a lot more could have been resolved sooner if all parties involved simply had clearer communication. Need I say, I would be grateful if everyone would please extend a little courtesy to our sponsors and refrain from making future inflamitory posts that exclaim things like "Don't Buy from...X, Y or Z company." Because in the end, they really do little to help anyone and make my job that much harder to do. Honestly, if you need some help with something, just ask for it and if it's within my ability, I promise to do what I can to help.
Rubicon Express is aware that a few customers have had an issue with the rear passenger shock failing. Contact with the shock happens when the adjustable control arms are not adjusted to proper length and allows contact of the track bar bracket with the shaft of the shock, thus causing damage. Rubicon Express will be amending the current instructions to cover this adjustment process in much greater depth to address the installation issues that very few people have experienced. Aftermarket suspension, after being installed, should be cycled with the coil springs removed before driving; both the extremes of extension and compression need to be checked for any unacceptable clearance issues; tire rub, brake line interference, drive shaft bind, shocks, etc… this is always recommended as a vital part of any installation process and it is not clearly stated in our current instructions. Rubicon Express is thankful to be a part of the Off-Road industry and has always taken pride in our customer satisfaction and service; we always strive to do better. I would invite any viewer of this forum thread to contact the originator of this thread to see if they are now satisfied over and above what they had expected. Rubicon Express loves the opportunity to see people happy.
Thank you,
Rubicon Express
Thank you,

Sounds like RE came through, researched what was going on, figured out why, and how to address it, and made things right.
The thread should be re-titled...just so a scan of the titles is not mis-leading, BUT, threads should not be deleted, especially when they contain this much information.
Some forums have an "Asbestos Lined Room/ALR" or equivalent, to move, um, flame wars, etc....too.....but I believe threads are part of the fabric of a forum.

If not, you will soon find people not associating with vendors due to their attachment to the forum. Yeah, it's a stretch...but my point is inflammatory remarks from moderators should be refrained from so as to not alienate the customers who buy from the vendor sponsors. I am sure you would agree or you wouldn't have deleted the exchange.
It's all just smart business. Also, as for resolving the issue sooner...I first attempted to resolve the situation by calling Rubicon Express first. The person i spoke with said I had to go thru Central...which is what I did. At any time, they had my number, (given first call) they could have given me a call.
Lastly, I do not appreciate the forum administrators admonishing my behavior. If you go back and read the thread you will note the ONLY inflammatory words used were in the thread title. Again, Scott from Rubicon Express specifically said to me, and I quote, "I feel your pain."
I expect you guys to poke one last jab, as that is what your last post did. I have no clue who Eddie is. Have never been informed he could be a mediator. I did what I had to do to get results. Right or wrong, I did what I felt necessary. I am pleased with the response by RE...not so much by the forum.

I note your "moderator's" (Piginajeep) exchange has been deleted as well as my reply. I realize this forum is owned by someone and is not bound by "freedom of speech" rules. That being said, you as a forum have an obligation to those who buy from your sponsors to make forum members happy too.

So far as I'm concerned, this discussion is over.
