Default Rubicon Express vs. TF

whats the difference between the RE 3.5'' super-flex lift kit and the TeraFlex 4'' suspension system with shocks, other than the 1/2 inch?
Is the TeraFlex system really worth the extra money??? They both look like complete kits.
Thanks guys

as mentioned, tf comes with adjustable uppers and lowers whereas re only comes with adjustable uppers. also, you should know that the tf kit will give you way more than 4" of lift - more like 5.25" and side by side, will sit a lot taller than the re kit. if you're looking for just 3.5"-4", you might want to consider the tf 3" lift as it'll be a closer fit.

Seems to be a pretty common dilema and one that I am struggling with as well. I hope to make a decision before I finish of a whole bottle of Aspirin.

Default RE 3.5 vs Teraflex

I would definitely go with Teraflex between those two. The RE kit that I got was eh, alright, but it rode like crap. It was a 4.5" Super Flex kit with substituted 3.5" springs because I didn't want it huge. Short arm lift so I didn't expect much but I did expect it to ride better than the 4" Rough Country kit that a friend put on at the same time. It didn't.

The short arm Teraflex kit I put on my TJ rode like an old Cadillac! Super smooth and squishy and I put nearly 100K miles on the springs with no issues.

Go Tera, those guys are very helpful here. RE doesn't wanna talk to you when you call.
I bought the RE 3.5 kit for my 2007 JK 2dr and I'm happy with it so far. It's been on for a year now with no problems. Be advised the rear springs on this kit are designed to level with the front only. My kit yielded about 4 inches in the front and about 2.5 in the rear. I'm not clear why they advertise it as a 3.5 inch lift. They should call it 3.5 front and 2.5 rear. I checked with RE to be sure I got the right springs and they confirmed the lift amounts were correct.

I did have problems with parts and customer support during my install. I have to agree that they don't want to talk with you or return calls or emails. I used Teraflex parts to fix design flaws (no adj rear track bar, rear axle pads, rear adj upper control arms not long enough to achieve proper pinion angle, spring spacers, etc.) in REs 3.5 kit. I have to say the customer service at Teraflex is top notch! I eventually got my issues with my RE kit worked out to my satisfaction. I would not buy from RE again since REs customer service was painfull. I would likely choose Teraflex or Currie in the future.
