Default Rubicon front e-locker in rear of X?

Does anyone know if the Rubicon front locker case is the same as the rear locker case? Do they both use the thick ring gear? I know that the Rubicon front axles are 30 spline, as are the rear shafts on the X and Sahara. If the cases are the same, with different spline couplers, I'm thinking a case from the front of the Rubicon would work in the rear of my X. I would have to modify the housing or cover for the wiring, but that would be pretty minor I would think. Anyone know the answer for sure?

Tough one... I don't know if the housing is any different. If not, should not be an issue. If it is... then you may have to play with it to make it work

I dont know about JK's, but on TJ's there is a slight differnce! it has to do with the clearence of the diff cover. my dad ordered a locker for his front rubi axle, and they accidently sent him a rear locker, and it wouldn't work.

I am not 100% sure, but I think that the axle shafts on the Rubicon may be slightly thicker than on the X or Sahara. You could always just get new shafts put in while you are back there.
