Default ## rubicon locker problems

I just had 5.38 gears put in my 2008 Rubicon JK and now the padlock indicator lights will NOT stop blinking to show that the lockers are fully engaged when we put it in low lock. The lockers are engaged just not sure if they are fully engaged. Any help to solve the problem would be appreciated.

This is fairly common when Rubicon axles are regeared by someone inexperienced with the system. Their is a plunger inside the pumpkin that activates the dash light, and if not correctly located during install the plunger won't activate the indicator light as its designed. Most likely your lockers are working fine but the indicators are just not working.

Your going to have to go back to your installer and have them do it properly.

thanks for the info. We did have to pull the ring gear back out to put the plungers in what we thought was the right way. The first time it was in lock without touching any botton after we reinstalled the sensors it seem to work ok the lights just won't stop blinking Do the sensors have to be turned a certain way after they are installed past the inner ring?

This photo shows the proper relationship of the plunger to the locker plate. It extends past the plate.
This is why the plunger must be installed before the differential assembly.

Thanks ronjenx we now have it installed that way but the indicator lights (padlocks) keep blinking it shows the padlocks locked but they keep blinking before the gear change when the axles locked the indicator lights would stay on steady any ideas
