Default Rubicon springs under a jk

Ok jeep peeps. My friend is selling me her rubi springs out of her 4 door rubicon. I am going to put them under my 2 door jk which has a 2 inch budget boost as it is. So that should bring me up to about 3 or 3.5 inches. Should I also install her shocks off the four door under my jk? Or would that not work? Good idea? Bad idea?

You need check what coils you have and what coils she has. If she has heavy duty coils and you have light duty coils then you'll see a bit of height from the swap. Her stock shocks will be too short for the amount of lift you may get (rubi coils + BB). Also with the 2 door you may need to start looking at other suspension upgrades and maybe a new driveshaft at 3"+ of lift. Search the forum or just use google and all the info is out there in several others threads like this one.

Yes, you must check the spring numbers. Just cause it is a rubi doesn't mean they are heavier springs that will offer lift (although coming off a 4 door and going on a 2 door, chances are they are stiffer spring rate then yours). Still, don't expect much lift.

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. I'm going to go ahead with the springs but wait for the shocks and do more research.
