Rubicon suspension on X
I now have a Rubicon suspension on my X. The suspension came from a hard top rubi with the towing package.
Long story short... The front of the jeep remained the same at 16 1/8 inches behind the front tire at the frame rail. The back of the jeep grew almost 1/2 inch to 18 inches at the frame rail in front of the rear tire.
The shocks were stiffer from the rubi, but the rubi's front coil springs had the exact same part number as the ones on the x. The rear springs from the rubi had different part numbers (the last digit was an 8 instead of a 6) and were stiffer. The part numbers were on the tags attached to both sets of springs. I was hoping to get about an inch lift, but...
It seems all the hype about rubicon suspensions being so much better than the others is all hype. I can't help but wonder if the rear would have been the same if it had not come from a towing package rubi.
Now I really need some front leveling spacers.

I installed Rubi springs on my 2 door X and could not be happier. The height of my Jeep improved approximately 1 1/2 inches front and rear. The only way that you will get the improvement is if the new springs are different from what you have on your Jeep originally. I find that the ride is not stiffer as many have stated but find that it is much more solid feeling. I found the $100 I spent to be a great investment. Just my opinion.
You have to go by the spring numbers,I run the Rubicon springs and shock and it did indeed add lift to my front, in-fact the Rubicon front spring was about 1 1/2" taller than the stock spring. However the rear stayed the same, but the ride does feel more solid.

Rubicon shocks are different and much better than stock X/Sport shocks.
This has been hashed out a hundred times. If the part numbers are the same of course you aren't going to get any lift. I went from 14/55 to 18/59 that I got off a unlimited with hard top. I got an inch on my 2 door x. Shocks do not provide lift but will give a better ride. You née to check the numbers on the tags.
