Default Rubicon transfercase into X

Just as title states. Has anyone done a rubicon transfer case swap into a wrangler X? What would be required? Pretty sure it would be just the transfer case itself...

What about prices?? Must be cheaper than a atlas2

For that price, you might want to wait until Atlas releases the Rubicrawler and consider it, if you have an Auto. Even with the stock case the doubler would give you a 7.4:1 low low range and you'd keep your 2.72:1 low range so you'd basically have a 3spd tcase.

That would be awesome to get a super low crawl ration for rocks, but still have the stock ratio for higher speed stuff like sand/mud. I wonder if (or how much) the atlas cases are significantly stronger than the Rubicon t-case. Need to start doing some research.

Easy peasy...

Your X or Sahara has 2 "ranges" in the Tcase... 1:1 (HI) and 2.72:1 (LO).
A Rubicon has 2 "ranges" in the Tcases... 1:1 (HI) and 4:1 (LO).

Some Rubicon owners have stated that the 4:1 is "too" low for some terrain... sand and mud being the ones I can remember off the top of my head, but there may be more.

Ok, so... with the Rubicrawler (remember, this is ONLY good for AUTO trans JKs)...

X or Sahara end up with 3 ranges in the Tcase... 1:1 (HI), 2.72:1 (LO), and 7.34:1 (LOLO)
Rubicon ends up with 4 ranges in the Tcase... 1:1 (HI), 2.72:1 (Rubicrawler LO), 4:1 (Stock Rubi LO), and 10.88:1 (RubiCrawler LOLO)

Sorry, I can't help with the price... we'll just have to wait and see...

Maybe we can get a two pack and save some money?

That gearing would be insane. I think I could only use that in Moab on really steep stuff.
