im reading like crazy on this thing, most say they love em, and it is cheaper than going with a new T-case all together. im more curious as to how they are holding up under daily driver highway conditions, and if folks have had them installed for more than a year are they having any problems

Made for the 42RLE and no, it's not a low-range gimmick. Replaces the tail housing with a reduction gearbox and works WONDERS.

They havn't been out a year yet. Teraflexplus installed mine in Oct last year and I wheeled Moab for 2 weeks after then drove 2900km home after. I like it. Hasn't got any low/low use this winter though, maybe in another month though.

I got one last summer (August). If you do a lot of 4wheeling it's a must.

Having 2wd low range is perfect for many of the desert area's I explore. Lot's of steep roads that you don't need 4wd, just the proper gearing for a controlled descent.

When you do require the double lo range, it'll crawl slower than you walk.

So far I'm very pleased.

Having a rubi this would be a nice upgrade as I would have low rang choises of 2.7:1 4:1 or the mighty 10:1.
FOr me and dealing with the mud and trails the option to run a 2.7:1 low range would be great I will be getting one of these in the near future..... after I check out Alaska hwys lol
