Default Rugged Ridge modular bumper end cap durability?

Hey all. I'm torn between three winch bumpers; full width LOD, ARB and the Rugged Ridge modular bumper with bull bar andend caps.

I like the RR one the best for price and flexibility but I'm concerned about how strong the end caps are and how well they really hold up in a collision.

My question is are they just for appearances and it's truly a shorty bumper with fake ends? Or will they actually hold up?

I would appreciate feedback from people running these bumper especially the RR.

Cheers!

I would like to know myself just how sturdy are the end caps. RR is a vendor now maybe they add some input. I really like the center, end caps with the prerunner look.

I can tell you these end caps are solid. I've hit several trees on the trail (obviously at slow speed) and these things are holding up well. The only issue I'm having is some rubbing under full tire stuff so I may end up trimming the back side of them a few inches.

Although I've never been in a collision with them I've given them a few good swift kicks to see how they hold up and I can tell you they feel very sturdy. They are definetely not fake end caps and once they are on a person would be hard pressed to tell they could even come off if they didn't know better.

I also had a lot of rubbing on the back of them with 33" and 34" tires until I moved up to the OME HD lift over the MD lift. That is one thing I hate about them, the first few times you go wheeling with them make sure you have a wrench with you to take the ends off if needed.

RR should consider some sort of Quick Disconnect system.

I agree...I took mine off while on the trail due to the tires rubbing real bad and have never put them back on. I just put the end-caps on when I got home and called it a day.
