Default Rugged Ridge passenger side Mirror Relocation - fix?

Since my rig is a daily driver, and have a 5" lift, need to see what's in the opposing lane and want to USE my passenger mirror to keep from rolling over someone.

Installed a dome mirror to help with the uselessness of the RR passenger side mirror relocation, but objects look like specs and are MUCH closer than they appear.

Are there any extensions for the passenger side? Or a better passenger side mirror relocation option out there?

Thanks for your help!

Default Mirror relocation fix

I don't know of any solution, but I chose not install the passenger side relocation bracket. I live without a passenger side mirror when the doors are off, but I have a useful mirror over there when the doors are on. People do not notice the mirrors are mounted differently until I point it out.

It shouldn't be too hard to rig up some kind of extension arm that attaches to the relocation bracket and brings the mirror forward a bit, but you'd have to make it yourself.

Good luck!

I realize its no help but I do the same thing. I can see out easy doorless but I have a 6" lift and HAVE to have something with the doors on. If you figure out a fix post a write up. Good luck

Leave the mirrors on the door
when the doors are off, usel something like the American Outlaw, Lang, or a M/C mirror on the hinge

This member modified the RR passenger bracket to extend it out further.

Default return to stock

thanks all - think i may return to stock too.

sad that rugged ridge, who makes decent mods, released a defective design to the consumers.

i would presume most, if not all, jeep owners would want something that performs versus 'for looks' which all the relocated passenger mirror is good for.

all they would need to do is extend another 2" on the passenger side.

I removed my RR mirror reloco's and put them back on the door. I will keep them on the doors and just buy some M/C mirrors or something for the jeep when the doors are off.

Those look nice! That is probably my favorite solution so far, but I wouldn't like to have to take them off and screw them back on the doors every time I put them back on (weather is crazy here, I take off/put on my doors about every other week during the summer, lol). Wonder how much an extra set of factory mirrors would cost?
