Default Rugged ridge side armor clanging?

Has anyone else had this problem. I have them on my o7 rubi with the rubi rails still on. I called tech for rr and they said they would get back with me...... that was two weeks ago. Just wondering if anyone found an easy fix.

I had the same issue. I put a small piece of rubber between the side rail and the rubicon rail. Once I snugged up the bolts it holds the rubber in place and no more rattle.

I actually cut up this -Click image for larger version

unfortunately, i am not familiar with this side armor but, do you happen to have an idea what is clanging? is it making contact with your rubi rails?

To overstate the obvious, What exactly is that, and where did you get it?

That is an oil filter wrench and you can get them at about any auto parts store for anywhere from 5-15 bucks.

The tool (Craftsman) is from sears the loop is made from thick rubber it is about 1/4 inch thick. You could use is it remove your oil filter. I have used it for turning plastic plumbing parts under my kitchen sink.

I think it is hitting the rubi rails it is a very small gap that is between them. I have tryed to make it make the sound myself but no luck. Once you get on the road and hit a sharp bump there it is though. I will try the pieces of rubber and see if that works
