Default Rugged Ridge Tail Light Guard Rust?!?!

I can post pictures if necessary, but thought I'd ask anyways:

I took off one of my Rugged Ridge tail light guards the other day (it's not even a year old yet), and I noticed that some of the welding points on the guard were showing rust!

Is this common, or is the powdercoating/paint weak in these areas?

How can I fix it?

Sand them down prime and spray paint them.

That's so dumb that they would rust that quickly. There weren't even any scratches or bare metal to begin with, so there's no reason for it to rust except for shoddy craftsmanship.

Mine are like that too. I'm very disappointed.

Put mine on in December on my 2011 JKU. They rusted in a month with the salt on the roads in Ohio. The worst is the replacement screws they provided. They are on my list to replace when the weather breaks. The screws are so rusted, that the phillips head may not even fit in anymore.

Same here, they look good but rusting fast. Screws are the worst. Just have to put some work into priming and repainting I guess.

RR doesn't use quality coatings on their products.
