Default Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper install problem

I just purchased a Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper. While unpacking the bumper, I found the threaded studs for the stock fog lamp mounts were bent pretty bad. It appears that if I try to straighten them they will snap. Anyone else run into this? Is it that important for all 4 posts to be used?
Thanks

4 will hold it on better, but i'm sure youd be fine with 2 depending on which ones they were.

Can you ship it back and get a new one?

I ordered online and can return it but it looked like nothing was wrong with the way it was packed. If I ordered another one I figured there may be a good chance it would be the same way.
I will probably do the return, but wanted to check with others if it was common.
Thank you for the fast reply.

I say contact RR and tell them that you will attempt to straighten them and if they break you may want a new one. Take pics tho and good luck

Contact Rugged Ridge directly. They should help you out.

Everyone, thanks for the help.
I can return the bumper but they will not cover the actual return shipping costs. For that bumper it will probably be a few bucks. So I will try Rugged Ridge directly.

I've bought quite a few new guitars over the years and any time there was a problem/damage with one, the seller would pay for the shipping back. For example if there was a big scratch in the finish, the seller would email me a pre-paid return label.

The only time I would pay for shipping back to the seller is if I decided not to keep the guitar and return it under the return policy.

I would think the vendor you received the bumper from would do the same. If not, that's some pretty poor customer service in my opinion. The buyer shouldn't be penalized for receiving a damaged product.

Someone at RR should get a swift kick for those studs. They get damaged in shipping, often.

Mine were bent. Everyone I've talked to who installed an XHD bumper received it with at least one bent. Sending the whole bumper back and getting a new one is just throwing away the shipping costs (not cheap) to more than likely end up with the same problem all over again.

I took a small metal tube (actually a nut driver, but I wasn't driving nuts), slid it over each stud, and used it as a handle to bend them all straight. Worked fine.

I recommend you either straighten the studs and be happy with the XHD or send the bumper back and get something else 'cause chances are the second bumper will have the same problem.

That is what I was thinking. I'll see what rr says. But I will probably attempt to straighten.
