Default rust on aftermarket driveshaft?

I was doing some maintenance under my jeep and noticed some rust on my Adam's DS. It was installed this past November. Anybody else have rust issues on their aftermarket driveshafts?

Wow, thanks for the response. It was just a question. I didn't think that my new driveshaft should be rusting like it is.

Do you have a picture. Bad winters make fast work of anything without a good coating of paint

Yeah, I will take one as soon as I get a chance. Just thought that they would have given it a better paint job I guess. Wondered if anyone else was having the same issue on aftermarket shafts thats all.

The same thing Happened to my RK control arms after one New England winter. I was disappointed. But it happens!

My advice with where you live is to paint everything yourself before you install it. It's just part of living where lots of salt is dumped on the roads. My axles have surface rust and I only bought the jeep in October.

I assumed it already had a good paint job on it. It looked like it did.

We live in PA, everything rusts. I just got my 15' JKUR in January of this year and there are already components that are rusted. It has under 3,000 miles on it. Just the nature of living in a state that salts the roads a ton. My Carolina Driveshaft on my WJ rusted the same. It's fine not going to hurt anything. If it's bothering you maybe take a wire brush and Rustoleum.
