Default Rust proofing your underside

So I've been debating on what to get/have done on my Jeep regarding rustproofing. I want to Line-X the tub, but can that be used on the underside and actually be worth while? Heck should I even worry about RP'ing the underside? I plan on lifting and doing quite a few mods in the next 3 years, will any RP'ing affect changing out parts?

Hopefully this isn't too much of a NOOB question.

I like to use rustoleum undercoating. Its a rubberized spray
I just sprayed down the frame and the under the tub for when i lived in New england with all the salt and snow

I also just used normal spray paint for the Muffler and Axles (use BBQ or hi heat for the muffler)

Interesting device...but I'm not sold on it. Sure it slows it, but it only will have effect on parts that are connected "metal to metal". Won't go around/thru rubber, plastic, etc. Plus it only slows the rusting process. Let us know how it works for you though.

POR-15 looks pretty good. Do you all recommend personally applying or have a "professional" do it?

A rust paint as mentioned above is the best bet, wont hold in moisture and cause it to rust faster.

I see very little point in it though since its just going to get scrapped off anyway offroad, and chances it will rust in a area where you cant paint anyway, same place water etc collects as it is.

I at least twice a year go under and spray liberaly with Rustoliem... I've done this now with three trucks and two jeeps... Keeps the rust off and/or at bay...

I know next to nothing about the underside of my Jeep but I can tell you that parts of it are pretty rusty under there - other parts are perfectly fine. I bought some Rustoleum Rust Reformer, my question is, is there anything under there that I shouldn't spray and if so how do I know what those parts are so I can avoid them?
