Default Rusty ARB cover?

So I installed some new ARB covers on front and rear with the great hook up that Dave at Northridge gave me about a week ago. The install went great, pretty easy. I've been running them for a month now and noticed a little rust.??? Let me know what you guys think or if anyone has had same problem.

I painted mine black, then took a razor to the paint to expose the ARB logo.

Looked cool for about 1 day, then they rusted...

I'm gonna try 220 grit sand paper and flat/clear spray paint and see what happens.

Worst case, it doesn't work and I'll just re spray paint them black.

It looks like mainly the bolts are rusting. For what they cost it seems like they would come with better hardware than that though

I have the same problem with mine. I had them send me new bolts and I hit them with clear coat before installing them. Now the "ARB" logo is rusting as well as the exposed areas around the bolts. I live in Florida and my Jeep is garaged most of the time. I only installed the covers a few months ago.

its just surface rust, try some wd-40 and a red scotchbrite pad,
clean it up with some break clean and give it a shot of clear
