Rusty shocks
I have a stupid question that I hope someone can help me out with?
I did the TF BB with the shock adapters in my Rubicon and I want to go to aftermarket shocks (nothing wrong with the Rubi shocks and adapters but I want new shocks). In the past, I've had Rancho RS9000, RS5000, Skyjacker, Pro Comp series and they all rust out in the Northeast conditions. They look like crap after an year or so? Is there any shock (that isn't a fortune) that won't rust and look like crap in a short period of time?? I wash my vehicles regularly and this drives me nuts. I know, it's a Jeep!! But it's not a beater either (until the payment book gets smaller).

I am also pretty anal about rust and keeping my Jeep looking new so what i do is every once in a while i get under the Jeep and spray with a penetrating oil/wd-40 etc. including the shock bodies, give them a quick wipe and the hardware and shocks will look like new for years...we have to oil spray here in Ontario Canada due to the extreme amount of salt from the roads.
