Default Rusty's 2" BB Lift

I had a 2" Rusty's suspension lift on my X and loved it. So it stands to reason that I should buy the 2" BB for my Ruby as it would be perfect.

Not quite....

I have about 15 miles on the BB and it is coming off. It is stiff, wanders, leans, looks way to high for the 33" tires, and gives my wife motion sickness.

It must the difference in the X and Rubicon since the other lift was great.

I don't know.

I will be going back to stock with a 3/4" spacer in front spring. The 305x70x16 fit fine and only rub the front at full flex. I have rims with a 4.5" BS.

Just letting evryone know that a lift might change habits on you.

Anyone want to buy a NEW 2" BB with shocks?

Wow, that does not sound right.. I put the 2" Rustys lift on my Rubicon and the ride is better than stock. No regrets at all. My wife's only complaint about it is because she is a little vertically challenged and has a hard time getting in.

Did you put on the spring lift or the BB 2"?

I really liked the spring lift from Rusty's.

Are you referring to the spacer lift or the taller spring lift? Did you use the same on both JKs? Doesn't make sense that it would work on one but not the other...

Default Rusty's quality?

I was looking at their website once, and they were defending themselves against "sagging" springs for TJ's. They claimed it was from all the extra weight of the winches, bumpers, etc. Shoudn't they take that into consideration for a LIFT KIT? Fishy...

On my X I put the spring lift and loved it.

Now on my Ruby I put the spacer lift and it is terrible.

You are right that it shouldn't make any difference, but.....

OME is the only company I have seen that gives different lifts (springs) for different weight applications. They have not yet offered a JK lift. Soon I am told.
