Default Rusty's 2" Lift Questions

I am looking at getting the 2" lift from Rusty's and a 1" body lift. Will this be enough to clear 35's? Does anyone else have the Rusty's 2" kit, are there any other parts I will need for this to work? Does anyone else run 35's on their daily driver? If so, what kind of gas mileage are you getting? If I run 35's on my X will I ruin my front axle. I always thought the largest tire you should run on a d30 was a 33. Sorry, I have about a million and one questions. I'm just trying to narrow down which lift to get. I would like to get the 3.25" kit, but I have heard that i should replace the control arms and the driveshafts. With all the extra parts it gets a little too pricey. I was hoping to do the 2" lift, body lift, rims, tires, front bumper, and rock sliders for about $3500. Doe this sounds reasonable or am I trying to do too much?

while you can technically run 35's with a 2" lift and a 1" bodylift, i wouldn't recommend it as it would be cutting it real close and and you will most likely see rubbing when flexing. personally, i would recommend getting the teraflex 2.5" BB and a body lift instead. the TF kit comes way more complete, is just as affordable and coupled with a body lift, it will allow you to run 35's no problem. regarding 35's on a daily driver, no problem. heck, i run 37's on my daily driver and still average about 14MPG. as far as axles go, 35's on a dana 30 will work fine and if you start to play hard on the trail, you can always upgrade the shafts to chromoly and you'll be good to go.

yeah, the TF 2.5" coil lift is more like a 3"+ lift and it will give you what you need.

I had thought about going with the spacer lift, but I have heard about problems with the spacer systems. I have heard that during extreme articulation the spacer can actually cause the spring to come loose. Is this true? Should I even bo concerned about it? I have thought about coil lifts from other companies, but the rusty's lifts are considerably cheaper. Since I really want 35's I think I might just go with the spacer lift and a body lift. Are there any pro's or con's associated with the spacer lift? obviously a spacer lift is cheaper and easier to install, but how does it compare to a coil lift offroad?

I was looking on quadratec and they say the 2.5" TF lift will clear 35's by itself. Is this correct or will it rub a lot? Will I need anything else to make this kit work right?

unless you are running shocks that are too long, this will not be a problem and it should not be a concern of yours. i ran the teraflex 2.5" BB and can tell you that you will be very happy with it.

I have the Rusty's 2" kit and for what it is, I don't have any complaints. If the TF 2.5" spring kit had been out at the time I got mine, it would have been my first choice. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably just go with one of the 3" Kits that gets you 4" and be done with it. By the time you add up the weight of a front bumper, winch, rear bumper, and better skids you will find that 2" starts to disappear rather quickly.
