Default Rustys add on rock sliders

Hey guys I just picked up a set of used rubi rails. Rustys Offroad makes a weld on slider/step kit that actually looks like it would work well. Am curious if anyone has seen these or actually has them on their jeep? At about $200 shipped and some time with the welder these dont seem like a bad deal rustysoffroad.com/rustys-s-add-on-rock-sliders-4-door-jk-wrangler.html

For that kind of money get new ones. You can sell the rock rails you have for $100-150, put that $200 you would have spent, and get you a nice $300 set of rock rail steps.

OR if you are going to weld yourself, you can buy the material and fab it up for less and make it super unique.

PS, I've seen these in person, and they are actually pretty nice.

Agreed.

They do look nice when done right, but usually someone who can do a nice job welding can source some tube & make them for cheaper.

I picked up the rubi rails for $140 locally so not a ton invested. Was looking at the ace bolt on sliders too so i figured i may as well have the rubi rails to fill the gap between the body and the ace sliders. I do have a friend that works at a welding and machine shop so its no prob to get the materials and fab my own too. I think im just looking for alittle bit of a challenge instead of just bolting stuff on.
