Default Rusty's Airtube!

Just found this on Rusty's Offroad site!

$40 airtube, plus $29 K&N filter!! you can't beat that price for a new air intake!

http://rustysoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=JKAT-1&Category_Code=PER_AIR

I'm just wondering how it will work with as much mud as i seem to get all over my engine... the inside of my stock airbox is covered in mud:(

anyone know about hose bag type of covers for the air filters?

That sounds like a great deal--except for the K&N filter. Those things flow a lot of air, but they also flow a lot of dirt. Hold one up to the light, and it looks like a screen door. They are little better than a rock screen.

I have a modified Dodge/Cummins turbo diesel that produces over 400 rear wheel horse power. It easily hits 36 psi of boost. That is a tremendous amount of air. Most diesel modifiers would not have that K&N for anything other than a dyno run.

Caveat emptor.
