Default is Rusty's Offroad 3.25" Kit Ok?

i am thinking about putting a rustys offroad 3.25" kit on my 2 door jk.. i am going to get the adjustable front and rear lower control arms for adjustability. i will run 35s and do mostly street driving (unfortunately.. no time )

my question is this....
is the rustys kit any good? i havent heard any bad things about it but just wanted to ask yalls opinion... is there anything that is competitively priced that is better? (about $1,000) i know it might not be the best kit but i jsut dont think i can beat the price.

what do yall think?

thanks alot..

I know little of the 3.25, but I love the 2" springs....they ride great and gave me almost 3" of lift.

On the 2 door, you need all 8 adjustable arms IMO.

if not, You wont get the ride fine tuned like its needed for the rear shaft.

i really need all 8 arms replaced? i thought all i truly needed to do was adjust the caster angle of the axle to help with handling and driveshaft angles? is that not correct? what would the top arms do in addition to the lower arms?

If anything you should replace the upper, they are for fine tuning and adjustment.

With a 2 door, the rear driveshaft is most important. even with adjustable arms. Your going to have to replace the rear driveshaft. Does this kit come with track bars?

yes it comes with front and rear adjustable trac bars. so you think i should first replace the upper arms? and maybe later the lowers?

I have their products and they are great. They take a great deal of abuse.

sorry i havent posted any pictures of the rig yet....... but the kit on the 4 door is nice. went on with little problems like taking forever to get the top nut on one of the front shocks, but no problems yet. I installed it and had an allignment done at 4 wheel parts. I ordered a stablizer and some ss brakes but havent put them on yet.

I also went with the 35x12.50x18 KM2s on the factory 18's. Had to get some 1.5" spacers from northridge. I also ordered some purejeep formed rocker guards but they were on back order 3-4 weeks, then 2-3 weeks more, now i'm being told another 2-3 weeks....... They better be worth it!

and yeah it takes the rake out at first but it comes back when the springs wear in a bit.

my wife has had the rustys lift on her jeep for about a 1 1/2 and it rides great...with the two door i would atleast buy the rear lower adjustable control arms for the rear to help with the drive shaft angle, and to push the axle back away from the pinch seam.....the front not really needed, handles good and drives great...start basic and then upgrade arms as time and money permits........most after market lift kits that come with extended length lower control arms.......and they buy uppers later to fine tune......

eventrually i will have the entire adjustable set on my wifes, but she not going for it right now and she would rather i put money into my jeep......good for me......now that xmas is over time to start saving for parts again....
