I installed my 3.25 basic lift about two months ago. You definately need at least front brake lines when disconnected. i would also go with the quicker disconnects.
The instructions are horrible. i'm thinking i found a write up on here or project jk for another brand of lift and used it as a better guide. the write up told you what size wrenches you needed and also had info on correcting the stearing.

2" spring and shock is what i got and I am very pleased with it though I added sway bar links and brakelines. It seems to flex really well so I am sticking with this lift for a while. And its not as expensive as competing brands.

Had the 2" basic coil spring lift and loved it. I added bumpstop extensions, brakeline drop brackets, and sway bar quick disconnects.
