Default Rustys or Skyjacker

For my 4dr 07 wrangler unlimited x, should i go with the Rustys 2" with springs and shocks, or the Skyjacker 2.5" with springs and shocks?

Well, the Rusty's kit is cheaper but you only get coils and shocks. The Skyjacker kit is more than $200 and the only thing more you get is a set of bumpstop extensions and a rear track bar relocation bracket. Now, while I would highly recommend getting bump stop extension, I hardly think that they and a track bar relocation bracket that has broken more than a dozen JK factory mounts here is worth the extra $200. Need I say, if I had to choose, I would probably recommend the Rusty's kit but would would also recommend that you get a set of bump stop extensions and rear brakeline extension brackets as well as upgrade the shocks to a set of good nitro shocks like Old Man Emu, Full Traction M-Force or Bilstiens. I have run Rustys shocks on my TJ and can tell you that they are way too soft and basically do nothing for you on the trails - in my opinion of course.

Is there any chance that I could recommend an alternative to both these kits? If so, I would recommend getting a TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost. For about the same cost of the Rusty's kit, you will get everything you need to get you up 2.5" including bump stop extensions, brakeline relocation brackets and shock extensions. I have run this setup in the past and can tell you that it works great and the price is very hard to beat.

No it has spacers that go on top of your factory springs.

Yes it has everything you need to lift 2.5"

Personally I got the TF 2.5" since the spacers allow you to keep the factory ride, they are a true 2.5" of lift since they are solid spacers and not springs with unknown spring rates and they are much cheaper then replacing the springs, which allows TF to include the rest of the components to properly lift the JK.

If you have a little more money to throw around Id also consider the Old Man EMU 2" lift. I know alot of TJ's run that lift and are very happy with it. They didn't have it out when I lifted the JK, but that's what I was going to get for our old 05 rubi before we traded it in.
