Wink Safari Top / Sun Bonnet....Help Needed

Ok, so here's the story. After a very rainy May i have been able to remove the hardtop (no soft top) and I have had it off the Jeep for the past 8 days without an issue. This past weekend my wife started asking rain (it is her daily driver) and what she should do if she were caught in a downpour. I told her to pull over and park under a covered area until the rain passed. This did not sound too good to her mainly because she would have two small children in the back.

So i ordered a BestOp trail cover. I showed her a picture last night and she said "Oh, i can't drive with that". I said well if you want to drive while its raining then you would need a soft top

So being the good husband that i am i started researching the Safari Bikini Tops and Sun Bonnet. My question are

Can these be put on and taken off quickly by one person?

Do they fold up easily to be stored inside the jeep when not needed?

Does the wind channel have to be removed when i put the hardtop back on?

Also, we run a spyder web shade. Can the Bikini top go over that just like the hard/soft top?

Thanks guys for your help.

I have the Bikini top on my Unlimited and i don't like it. I have both hard and soft tops and removed the hard top and didn't want to put the soft top on because with it down its a pain in the a$$ to put stuff in the back of the jeep.

I ordered the Bestop Bikini and i was unhappy with the "fit" of it. But that's just my opinion (i'm quickly learning that jeep accessories aren't supposed to "fit" together like accessories for an Aston Martin or Mercedes would).

Honestly the only issue you're going to have driving in the rain with the bikini is that at 35mph + you're going to get overspray in the back of the jeep (which will annoy your kids, because it annoys mine). And the fact that the "trunk" of the jeep is going to get wet and the carpet will eventually smell. I am currently solving that as i type this by having the carpet removed and the interior coated with Line-X.

Oh, and it can certainly be removed my one person. It's too wide to fit in the jeep if you take it off, but i roll mine up and use a velcro strap to keep it rolled. Then I put it in the corner of the garage.

The wind channel has to be removed, but it's only two "bolts".

I found a mopar bikini top for $25.00. The guy had no idea what he had. I have been running it exclusively since mid March. It has a header bar just like the soft top, and uses the same channels as the soft top on the door surrounds. It doesn't leak at all except for the rear opening, obviously. I ordered a bestop duster cover for the rear. It has been rained on multiple times, but unless it's raining sideways, not much gets inside, even with the back being open. I can put it on under five minutes by myself, but you will not be able to store it in the Jeep.
