Default SB SRC Tire Carrier Install Fail

Just installed my new SRC Smittybuilt rear bumper with Tire carrier. Bumper looks great, but the tire carrier won't latch with out my buddy standing on it. Its to high and to long to latch. The long sucks up as it comes down though. I'd say its a half inch to tall even with the tire installed. Its all solidly built and a little 35 isn't going to bring it down.

Anyone seen something similar?

Boy I'd like to hear about this. This is one of about five I'm eyeballing. This just may rule this one out.

Yeah sorry for No reply ive been out the state the last couple days it turned out the post in which the tire carrier swinged on wasnt straight as well the screws were in need of some losening which helped the latching process. End result i called smitty bilt sending out a complete new set up and theres no need to ship anything back customer service was near excellent just sent a few pics and everything was shipped out that day.

No within my purchase i was not provided shims was given a thin nylon washer to help keep the tire carrier from resting on the bumper but im sure a purchase could be made if shims were necessary
