I traded my Jeep today and returned it to stock after I closed the deal so I just want to be 100% sure before I offered the programmer for sale.

Once you return the vehicle to stock, you are able to use the SC on another vehicle.

 

If you returned your jeep to stock you are fine, you can use it on a different jeep.

I know the AEV ProCal also stores VIN but can be restored

 

I just went through this and yes you can use it on another jeep if returned to stock, BUT!! you must go in and change advanced features back. Just because you set the engine settings back to stock other options left on WILL vin lock programmer. example, if you set the tpms option it needs to be returned to orig setting. In other words when you plug the sc into jeep the screen may say stock buy you may still have something on that will vin lock unit. Hope this helps.
