Default Secure my Traildash2--

i need a way to securely mount my trail dash so i don't need to take it down every time i park. i'm not really thrilled with mounting and plugging it every time.

i know NOTING is theft proof, but i'm looking for a way to make it a really PAIN IN THE ASS to pull out.

Does RamMount make anything?

Ive seen some mounting backs that run along the lower part of the window.

maybe a VESA Mount?

thoughts and ideas guys..

thanks
steve

Buy some plate aluminum and build a box that outlines the device. Rivet or bolt said box to sturdy mounting bracket and then find a way to run the mount to either the A-pillar bolts or down to the firewall. The dash is mostly plastic and magnesium so there isn't much there to securely mount to.

I secure mine the lazy way. I put my hat over it. I also keep my coroner badge right beside it. The only time I remove it is when the doors and top are off.

LOL I do the hat trick as well. I doubt anyone would ever know it was there.

I have the rugged ridge dash mount and I love it. One of my cheaper but more functional interior mods. What's really nice is when the factory Nav craps out, I can spin my phone around it and use my phone nav like a regular mounted gps. I have a Samsung 6plus edge or what ever their big phone is and it goes in with room to spare. Your trail dash will be no problem.
