I used some rubber washers on mine, and cranked them down hard last time i went offroading, they havent budged a mm. I usually just leave them in the hole in the trunk (that little frogpond) unless i need them though, I've just been to lazy to put them back in there.

Red loctite them and give em a little extra when tightening them. They will not fall off and nobody will ever remove themn by hand.
Will come loose with a screwdriver thru the hole. Red loctite will hold them solid but will not weld them as it would tiny screws.
Do not have a winch yet but I would not attach the cable to the rings anyway.

Here in Wisconsin, we have to display a front plate. So, I'll need to attach the plate frame to the fairlead with one of those CoolTech things. I'm not sure, but the hook doesn't fit through the roller fairlead to leave it behind the bumper, correct?

Alright, then where do I attach the winch hook\cable? Take the hook off when I'm not using it?

Ive seen a few people with these Daystar thingamajobs:
and the snap on plate bracket over the top of it, but i didnt look super close to see how they did it, if it needed anything special.
