Default Shaved tailgate?

Is there such a thing for a JK sahara? We want a smoothed tailgate with no tire carrier and is there a way to relocate the third brake light as well? the smoother the tailgate, the better. thanks

Its not available to buy ( 'Least I don't think so) But a good bodyshop could tackle it.

Any body shop should be able to weld it up then mud it & paint it. Probably isn't going to be cheap, especially if you want it perfect. Think $300-500 range for perfection. Some hack shop might scab it out for $200 or less but the mud will probably crack out pretty quickly. Also, consider that its now going to be harder to shut as it will have no spare tire weight nor will it have pressure release vent.

Unless you are in the car biz like some of us This seems like a waste of money to me. Why not spend your hard earned money on something functional?

I like the look of it smoothed out as well. If i was putting my spare in the back in lieu of the rear seat (like i would love to do) then i would have mine shaved as well. I think i would just have a body shop reskin it for me. I do not know of any ready-made gates though. But, if someone where to do a bolt on drop down tailgate mod, smoothed, I'd buy it. (as long as it wasnt astronomical)

With that philosophy, why do anything beyond stock?
