Default Shift knob replacement

OK so from what i understand, a "shift knob" is the one for manual transmissions. The cool-looking knob replacements on extremeterrain.com say they are for "shift knobs." Can i use one of these shift knob replacements on my automatic transmission knob?

I'm pretty sure that's a negative. I don't know if I've seen an auto knob kit.

Every shift knob kit I've ever seen is just a collar with a few set screws, so if they're the same they'll fit no problem. Just pop the knob off the auto shifter, slide the new one on, and tighten down the set screws.

It's a press fit, no set screws.

LOL: This probably seems rather naive of me, but I've driven almost exclusively manual transmission vehicles for the past half century: Doesn't the JK auto shifter knob have a button on it for some feature?

Yes it does, you can't shift it into any gear without pressing the button in.

The ones the op is looking at don't mount that way. As for the button, any jk with the newer automatic (op has a 15, it's in his name) does not have a button to shift.

Here's a picture of their mounting solution for the OP
