Default Shifter knob

Does anybody know the size of thread on the automatic shifter? Thinking of pulling the shock knob and making my own. It is a 2011 JKU.

From Drake Gff Road for auto:

"USE A FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER OR PUNCH AND KNOCK COLLAR OFF LOWER PORTION OF
ORIGINAL SHIFT KNOB. SLIDE COLLAR DOWN AND REMOVE TORX BOLT. REMOVE ORIGINAL
SHIFT KNOB."

Ooops! above is for 07-10

2011:

"Remove stock handle:
Carefully using a screwdriver or trim stick, separate the
retaining ring from the knob and slide down the shifter shaft.
Pull the knob off the shifter shaft."

I can confirm that there aren't any threads on the 11 automatic. If you pull the knob off (comes off easily when you separate the two pieces) you are left with a small rectangular shaft looking up.

Was looking to extend this on our 2012, its too short for my seating position, any ideas other than welding something (which might be the next option).
