That's good news (well, not really, but at least you know it was not the lift). I see you are running 315/75/16. Would 35X12.50X17 be close in height? Are 315's basically 35's? Darn metric system!

the 315/75/16 does convert to 35"

This has been the weirdest experience. So, I take my tires up to a local tire shop. First, I called and tried to get them to confirm that they had the equipment and expertise to balance a 35" MT. Of course the answer was "yes"

With no other options for the day at least, I took my tires up to them. They had a kid start working on them. He finally came back in about a half hour later and said I don't think we can do these. I go out to the machine and there is a patch of 3" x 6" of sticky weights on the inside of my wheel. Needless to say, I had him pull them off and clean the wheel and I left.

Got home put the other four wheels on my jeep. Had to put the one he worked on as my spare because all weights were removed.

Unbelievably, I now have no shimmy and my TPMS light is not going off. I have no idea why, but I'm not asking.

Now I just have to go to an offroad shop and get that 5th tire balanced again.

Weird stuff.
