Shock boots? Run em or no?
Every stock vehicle that I can think of runs shock boots from the factory -- The argument could be made that they protect the junk from getting there in the first place, and, exposed shock shafts will constantly be subjected to salt, road grime, etc. etc.
For anything but dry weather driving, I would run boots.

Boots sucks. I think they are only good to run if you remove and rebuild your shocks regularly (racing shocks/coilovers) and are just protecting the shafts from being chipped from high velocity racing debris, mainly rocks.
I cut them off of my 5100's with the mind set that the shocks would be junk before the seals started leaking.

Dust shields are what I had in mind. Never considered that full boots would let crap in and keep it in there.
