I just got 33 inch duratracs and they look awesome but now I definitely need to lift my Jeep because obviously it will look even better. I've ready many threads and have decided to go with the Teraflex 2.5 BB but I'm not sure exactly what kit. My questions are: Do I need the aftermarket coils? Do I need shock extensions if I'm using my stock shocks? I think I need the extensions, just want to make sure. This is my DD and I'm not going to be doing any crazy offroading, just mud and trails. Should I go with the teraflex kit? And what one do you guys recommend if not? I'm trying to spend as little as possible to accomplish this. I have $450 in 4wd.com gift cards that I have to use just fyi. Thanks for any help!

I've heard good things about the TF 2.5 BB for a DD. For your budget the 2.5 TF BB kit with shock adapers sounds perfect. Nothing else necessary. You'll probably even have a bit left over from your gift certs.

Definitely get the shock adapters. I believe they are recommended with that kit or new shocks. Adapters cheaper. I know a member running the adapters with his kit with 35's. He has been pleased with them and will just get new shocks when those wear out.

OK, I'm looking at two different TF kits on 4wd.com and I think the only difference between the two is one comes with shock adapters and the other doesn't. However, the cost difference is 80 bucks. Does this seem right? Link below- The kit with the adapters is 340.99.

That is correct. They have three options with those kits. Without shock adapters, with shock adapters, and with shocks. It seems cheaper to buy kit instead of purchasing adapters separately.

Whats odd, though, is the shock adapters raise the price of the 2 1/2" coil kit a measly $10, but for some reason $80 with the spacer lift. Weird.

Ive got the 2.5BB on my 2012 JKUR. Other than the installation directions not being the best its a great kit. I loved the way my jeep looked. I say loved because now of course I wish I had gone bigger! But for being daily driver there is no difference in the way it drives over stock and it was great offroad too. Make sure you get wheel spacers!!!! They are mandatory if your using the stock wheels. Heres a picture of mine after the lift. I still have my stock tires but will be putting 35 inch Toyo MTs when I save up enough money.

Thank you all for the help, I really appreciate it. I won't need the wheel spacers though because my backspacing is 3.75 on my pro comp soft 8's. Thanks again guys.

I have 70k miles on my budget boost with the spacers. I keep saying i will replace the shocks but havent really needed to yet. I also kept saying i was going to replace the spacers with a spring lift but i havent needed to. I think you will be fine for a long time with bb if you are just planning on non-hardcore stuff.

If you have a Rubicon, you can use the shock extensions to get you by for a while. If you have an X/Sport, I'd upgrade to a better/longer aftermarket shock.
