Default shock question

My question is this. I wrote it in a previous link, but got no response. Teraflex says their rubbing issues can be solved by new rims with less backspacing. Unfortunately not in the budget at the moment. Spacers, which I choose to stay away from. Last but not least keeping the stock shocks. This is definitely an option for me. I only am concerned if this is okj. Wouldn't the shocks stretch too far and possibly come loose? May be a total newbie question, but I really don't know.

I realize that, but wouldnt that lengthen the shock travel and cause the rubbing issues anyway. They say keep the stock shocks. I wasn't sure if they meant we could use the extensions or not.

I know of a person that used a 2" BB lift and kept his stock shocks on the TJ. He felt every bump in the road but other than that they worked just fine.

No. The shock travel is exactly the same. It just lowers the whole shock 2".
