Default Shock replacement 2016 JKU Rbicon

2016 JKU Rubicon, with 1.5 RK lift and Fox 2.0 shocks, about 40K miles, about 75% street/NFS unpaved roads and 25% off road mostly in Moab and Ouray. Time to replace tires, Is it time to replace shocks? any recommendations for my use? Thanks

Shock life is very subjective, but I'd think at 40k miles (as you described), those still have life....unless you are seeing signs of being worn, or just want to move on to something else. I have Fox 2.0 as well, and still holding up with ~65k miles on em.

10,000 miles of offroad is a lot of offroading. I think I would replace them.

biggest way to know if they are bad would be to bounce every corner. If the bounce stops within 2, they are good. Also, look for leaks. I replaced mine with falcon 3.3’s, love them.

I just replaced my RCX shocks with Bilstien 5100's. The RCX shocks were toast at 65k miles. They weren't leaking but none of them would rebound when I compressed them after removing them. So far I'm loving the Bilstien's.

I just replaced my Bilstein 5100's out for the Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks, so far I'm really impressed with the pavement ride. I need to get them offroad for a true test. I felt the 5100 Bilstein was to harsh for our kind of off-roading. I would suspect your current shocks still have some life left in them.
