i think the teraflex ride pretty decent. ive used bilstein and ome as well and i would recommend ome. however you might wanna try the bilstein 7150 i think? they are silver and black and are vehicle specific. they were a very nice ride on my grand cherokee.

The Bilsteins are hard to beat.

If you are looking for something with a lot of travel, they have state of the art monotube shocks with digressive valving....that ride amazingly well, super control and absorption.

The 5100's and the 7100's are great bets for what you are looking for.

So these blistens... About how much do they run? The teraflex i had found were like 50$ a shock just about. Will the blistens be alot more or how do they compare in pricing?

heres the terafelx i had found.

http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=3277

And again, do they make the blistens large enough to fit a jeep with a 5' lift?

those bilstein's are made from aluminum right? I mean not that i would think it matters but that is nice since they wouldnt be able to rust. I looked them up and they run about 79.99 a shock. So most of you guys agree they are about the best shock for normal use? or would OME be better?

They are Zinc Plated (Hence the silver look) for corrosion resistance....and have way more travel than the Old Man Emu shocks...

The OME's are conventional twin tube shocks, just like the stock shocks the JK comes with, and not much longer than them either. They are well made twin tube shocks at least, but, they are NOT monotube shocks like the Rubicon comes with, or like all of the Bilsteins are.

The OME's are too short for good articulation...barely longer than stock...whereas the Bils are at least 10-12" travel, vs the ~ 7-8" of stock/OME travel.

Bils also come with a LIFETIME warranty.

I'd do Bils over OME anyday.

Teej thats exactly what i was looking for... im sold =D

But i no longer have a 3' lift. i have 5' now and the shocks i have are the same and are maxed out. So do bisteins offer long enough shocks for a lift that big that will still allow for plenty of travel?

Bilstiens are awesome all-around shocks in my opinion...look good, nice control around town, great flex/dampening off-road.
