Default shocks

I'm looking at either the aev or tf 2.5 inch lift. Does anyone have any experience with either the tf tuned Elka or fox shocks? Figured they probably would be better because they are designed with tf lift in mind. Description of them on tf website says they were designed with their pre runner kit in mind. Wondering if they would work like they were designed for on the regular tf lift kits? If I went with aev kit I would prob get the aev bilstein tuned shocks.

If they are valved for pre running they are going to be have a high compression rate and rougher ride on the road. If the AEV meets your needs people really do seem to like the set up.
