Default Shocks, best bang for the buck

Looking for shocks for my 2010 Sport. I don't have a lift, so my choices seem a little limited :( Anyone have any suggestions?

Shocks off a Rubicon or teraflex 9550's... The Rubis you should be able to find for (4) $100 and the TF's you can get from dave at northridge 4x4 for about $220 shipped (4). You wont be dissapointed with either.

Monroe shocks at nearest advance auto are pretty good as well..

I'm very happy with my Monroe Reflex Monotubes. Got them for a 'steal' at Advanced Auto; took advantage of an online offer which may still be going on.

Fully extended, the rears are about an inch shorter than the factory Sahara or Rubicon shocks. That was a bit of a turn off for me, but they do handle excellent. (Factory X or base Sport shocks are about the length of the Monroes, from what I understand)

Bilstein 5100s, smooth and strong durable construction. Better than Rancho or Skyjacker. A lot of good opinions on this forum.

I am sure you will be getting several different opions. so here is mine. I actually went with the Skyjacker Nitro's. I have to say, at the small price that I paid, they have been very good to me. If you are looking for a cheap alternative, these are worth looking into.

as mentioned, i think you'll find that a set of rubicon shocks will be a nice improvement over what you have now. being that monroe makes them, i'd be willing to be those would be nicer too. not sure if they come in a stock size but, the bilstein 5100's are real nice too.

Yeah, there right on the edge before you jump off into some serious cash for shocks.

Just my .02, I would not recommend the TF 9550's for a stock, or stock weight JK. i've had mine for over 2 years now and they can definitely be a little on the harsh side. My JKU is still fairly light, comparitively to other modified JKU's. I hope to keep mine that way. I will be switching these out first chance I get.

Will Bilstein 5100's work w/ no lift? On their website all I saw was shocks for lifted Jeeps...1 1/2"-3" & 4" if I remember correctly
