Question SHOCKS for my 2" Lift

So, I'm going to lift my "X" Unlimited with a Rubicon Express 2" Budget Kit, and go with 32" BFG Mud Tires. My question is, I'm planning on installing a new Steel Bumper, a Warn Winch, a new Steel Rear Bumper (That will accept a H-Lift Jack, Spare Tire, Jerry Cans) a Roof Rack, and Lights.

I'm not going to be putting these items on right away. Give it about a month or 2, but what type of Shocks should I go with, along with my Rubicon Express Lift? I would still like somewhat of a nice ride on the Road, and a good one on the Trails, but they must compensate for the heavy items that I will be adding. They must be heavy duty... So, I may not get the best ride quality on the road. Or can I? The Kit includes Shocks, but will need to upgrade I'm sure.

Any suggestions as to what Shocks would work out best with this particular Lift Kit?

Any help, GREATLY appreciated!!!

Personally, I wouldn't lift it for 32's. Sahara's and Rubi's come factory w/ 32's. They should fit fine with no lift, as long as they're not too wide. If you lose a little height you can always add the 3/4" spacers to the front to level the stance and gain more clearance. I'm running 34's with the 2" budget boost, for comparison.

This is just my personal preference though. Maybe somebody else will have a different opinion.

Yeah, I realize I wouldn't need a Lift, but a little more ground clearance may be nice. I'm going with the Gray A.E.V. 16.8" Wheels, BFG Mud Tires, and I'm thinking that I would like the look. The Rubicon Express Lift really doesn't require much to install (At least it doesn't sound like it) and may prevent the ESP Problems like some other's are experiencing with the 2.5" Teraflex Lifts, Etc. I hope this won't happen to me! I'm also considering a 1-2" Body Lift, but haven't made my mind up yet, nor do I know where I can obtain a Body lift currently for my JK Unlimited. I emailed Rubicon Express with their opinions on Heavy Duty Shocks, and will post their reply here. Though their 2" Kit is supposed to be shipping this week. We'll see... (I parked next to a Rescue Green JK Rubicon Unlimited the other day while in my Jeep. Yeah, it was a little higher than my JK, but a little lift, I think, I'll like better.)

Okay, I sent Rubicon Express an email yesterday, asking whether or not I will need new Shocks due to the amount of items that I will be adding. IE-Steel Bumpers/Winch/Exp. Rack, Etc. Here is their reply;

The shocks that are packaged with our 2" kits will work regardless of
the additional weight. The reason for this is the extended bump stops.
As long as the bump stops hit before the shock collapses, like ours
will, then you are ok. Please let us know if you have any other
questions. Thanks you for your interest in Rubicon Express.
Well then, it appears as if I won't be needing new Shocks afterall, other than the one's supplied with their Kit. Now, If I can decide on a 1 to 2" Body Lift, I'll be all squared away!

I could swear that somebody has a 2" b.l. out, but I can't remember who.

Edit: It's by BDS

Click here

A little pricey for a BL though. You can get a B.B. cheaper
