One caution is that at least one brand requires you to drill out the shock mount for a larger bolt. I don't recall which one now, it might have been the Fox. But I definitely didn't want to do that.
I'm interested in your feedback on the OME's and in particular, what part numbers you bought. I'm pulling my shocks and coils to maximize travel with minimal bumpstop. My Rancho's have been good but I think the OME will afford me shorter compressed and longer extended lengths.

My OME's are 60066 and 60067 for 2" lift. Don't have them on yet though, one was damaged by Fedex and I need a replacement.

I think it was the 6066's and 6067M's I was looking for. The current Rancho's need a little more bumpstop than I'd like to use to maximize use of the shock. It's my own fault though because I fell into the trap that most people do of ordering shocks based on "for 2" lift" instead of measuring. The issue was compounded when I did front and rear shock relocation brackets which took another inch out of my compression.

so this will be my first time piecing together a lift. I’ve usually just ordered everything together, IE shocks that come with the springs. So far with this build I have order the Teraflex 3” springs with their sway bar links/discos. A RK front track bar and the rancho shocks. I ordered them based on their “3-5” lift range recommendation. Next up will be the CA’s which I’m leaning towards Clayton arms. Kind of a Franken lift but it will give me what I want, and fall roughly in the same price range. You think based on the guesstimate of
lift I’ll be ok?

I have run the Nitro Sport version and liked them on my JKU. Bilstein 5100 shocks do have a lifetime warrantee on leakage if yours are. Might as well try and get a new set.

that is Falcons and it is only one side of the mount and it is such a small amount over there is no issue with running a standard shock if you decide to ever go back. i have been running a set of Falcon's for over two years and 34000 miles and love them. I have had Rancho 5000, 7000, 9000 and several pairs of Bilstien 5100 which I also like but no comparisons to my Falcons. Buddy with The Fox 2.0 recently switched to Falcons and said he could not believe the difference. I know people think Falcons are gimmicks but they are the real deal and made start to finish in Utah.

the warranty is reallygood on Billys but the pain is you have to send them in and wait and you have to have proof of purchase which is understandable but sometimes hard to find 5 years down the road.. I have found that Rancho will warranty them with just a photo proof of leakage. Rancho 7000MT and 5100 are really similar altho the 5100's hold up to fading better or at least on my rig.

Frankenlift is absolutely the best way to go so you can pick the best components from each vendor. That being said, you can't guess at shock length if you plan to utilize soall of the available travel. I couldn't even hazard a guess and say "green light". You won't know until you have your own weight on the coils and go from there. I can say that there have been reports and experiences of TF coils sagging so that may play into your shock choice down the road or after weight.

You are right, he should just throw them in the trash. What was I thinking. Don't even try to do a warrantee claim that would allow him to get a new set to sell and recoup the cost of his new shocks or run them again if he does not like the OME.

Yes key would be to pick the best components, the poster is not picking the best components by far and would have better off just buying a kit IMO.

It does not take too much research to find Teraflex coils don't hold up over time and RK is just a shitty company. Clayton arms are good but you would likely be better off with Core 4x4 if you need Johnny joints, Metal Cloak would be better off as far as ride quality.
