Anybody hear on their tire carrier/bumper yet? I have been waiting patiently.
What about PJ? When are they actually gonna start shipping?

in a recent thread, someone from shrockworks said that a rear bumper/tire carrier would be at least 3-4 months away.

Default PUREJEEP Rear Bumper Shipping Soon

Just to let folks out there know, we are welding out rear bumpers right now. The PJ2000, non-swing away, versions will begin shipping first. Open Orders for the PJ2000 should begin shipping next week. Rear bumpers with Swing Away Tire Carrier, PJ2001, will be slightly behind this.

Orders will ship, first in, first out. The earlier the order was placed the sooner the bumper will ship out.

Over the weekend someone posted a string saying that we where still staying 6 weeks on rear bumpers. This in not a true quote. The approximately 6-weeks to ship, was an estimate for New orders only. We have a huge backlog of rear bumper orders and those that have been waiting the longest will get theirs first, now orders will ship when all outstanding orders have be filled.

I would tend to think most suppliers wouldn't pass that type of info. A big number would scare people away, when in fact it may not be that big of a number to others. Also, probably providing that info to ones competitors is not good either.

so basically at least a 6 week wait on a PJ bumper

shrockworks might (hopfully) have theirs out sooner hopefully, and will take more business away from manufacturers who refuse to step up their production lines for the absolutely burning hot product that the JK is

i mean the PJ bumpers have been in catalogs and on pictures for about a year now and hardly anyone has anything of theirs..kind of ridiculous if you ask me

Thanks for the update... Last week I called 4wd.com where I had ordered mine from many moons ago and they said their computer was showing "8/3/07" for the rear w/the tire carrier... does that sound about right still?

In response to Rubimon, the exact number of backorders is not something we are going to divulge. As for our competition, knowing that there is a backlog of PUREJEEP products on order should if anything, bug them. After all, many JK owners have been patiently waiting for our rear bumpers. Maybe it’s because we have a great looking product, maybe it’s because until recently every manufacture was slow to deliver rear bumpers for the JK. What ever the reason, these customer have stuck with us. We value these loyal customers and will get them their bumpers first. So yes to jeepik on having to wait for a rear bumper. If you order or have ordered a PUREJEEP product, it will be fulfilled on a first in, first out basis.

PUREJEEP makes quality products that are styled to fit the lines of the JK and fit great. PUREJEEP is a fledgling company in a new market, targeting a new vehicle. The JK is a new breed of Jeep and has no straight lines on it. They really are a challenge to make good fitting product for. However, we are committed to product excellence and refuse to rush an inferior product to market, just to make sales. The PUREJEEP is in this for the long haul and quality if first and foremost in our products.

Frankly, we would love to be able to ship all the bumpers on backorder right way, but the truth is that rear bumpers are big and take a long time to manufacture. We will begin shipping them as they roll off the production line, not hold onto them and then fill all the orders at once. Production will be at a steady pace. Remember PURJEEP is made in the USA and of the best quality at any price. Is it/was it worth the wait, we think so and trust that those customers with front bumpers think so to. Soon our rear bumper customers will have a say on that too.
